Building the financial analytics your bank, board, or buyer expects - and your team doesn't have time to

Northline FP&A helps growing private and PE-backed businesses improve forecasting, profitability, cash visibility, planning, and strategic decision support without the overhead of building a full internal FP&A department.

About Jeff Belden

Finance Experience Built Around Better Business Decisions

Before founding Northline FP&A Partners, I spent more than 20 years in finance leadership roles with public companies—including American Express, AMETEK, and ConAgra Foods—and privately held businesses such as Ferrara Candy Company, SunGard, and Telular. These experiences gave me a strong understanding of the financial and operational challenges facing both manufacturing and service-based organizations.

Most recently, I served as Vice President of Finance & Administration at DQS Inc., where I led budgeting, quarterly forecasting, customer and service pricing, and commercial performance initiatives. By partnering closely with sales and operational leaders, I helped implement improvements that contributed to a 300% increase in annual new-business bookings.

I founded Northline FP&A Partners because I repeatedly saw the same gap: growing companies often have solid accounting and bookkeeping, but no one dedicated to translating the numbers into actionable insights for leadership. Accounting explains what happened; FP&A helps leaders understand why it happened, what is likely to happen next, and what actions they should take.

Many growing businesses need this capability well before they need—or can justify—a full-time FP&A team. Northline fills that gap by providing experienced, hands-on financial planning and analysis that supports clearer decisions, stronger accountability, and profitable growth.

Our Approach

FP&A Should Help Management See What’s Ahead

Forward-Looking

Finance should help management understand where the business is heading, not only where it has been.

Practical

Models, forecasts, and dashboards should support real management decisions.

Collaborative

Strong FP&A works alongside CEOs, CFOs, Controllers, and operating leaders.

The goal is better visibility, stronger financial discipline, and more confident decision-making.
